Opening up a dark and closed-in kitchen, the homeowners wanted to bring in more light and connect the kitchen to the living room.
Limiting the number of upper cabinets to a partial wall around the refrigerator, and encasing the opposing wall and window with counter-to-ceiling white subway tile, brightened the room considerably. Lower gray Shaker cabinets, white Carrara Quartz countertops, open wood shelving and can lighting contributed to giving the Crown Hill kitchen a crisp, clean look.
