Magnolia Kitchen, Bathrooms, Living Room, Exterior Entry Remodel
This stunning 1940’s home sits on the west side of Seattle’s beautiful Magnolia neighborhood. The main floor was brought down to the studs to allow for a larger kitchen with substantially more storage, a spacious living room, and an updated powder room. The entryway closet was converted into a mudroom, and new white oak hardwood floors were installed on the main floor of the house. To create an open and spacious feeling for this family of four, the wall separating the dining room and the kitchen was removed. French style barn door were installed to give a classy look while still allowing for privacy. In the kitchen, Dura Supreme cabinets were installed with marble countertops. The new trim throughout the main floor added a new fresh style that compliments the home.
Where there used to be an unfinished basement, now there is a spacious laundry room. An unused area in the basement now has a new linen closet to optimize storage. The basement was finished by adding vinyl floors and a fresh coat of paint. The family wanted to keep the original hardwood floor on the second level, so they were refinished. The remodeled bathroom on the second level included a new tile floor, and an updated tub with marble mosaic tile walls. The space was enlarged to accommodate a double semi-custom vanity from Dura Supreme. The clients chose Rejuvenation for the finishes and hardware to compliment the new quartz countertops.
Every area of the house was improved including some exterior upgrades! A new modern-style garage door was installed, complimented by a new exterior paint job. The driveway was enhanced by a tinted concrete pour, paving the way to a newly built cedar portico. Two-inch blue stone pavers were installed on the stairs that lead to the mahogany front door. A new concrete patio was added in the backyard so that the family can enjoy outdoor dining!
